sam altman’s garden and a not fake explanation of consciousness

$0.00

In this paper, I symbol ground consciousness through Giulio Tononi’s Integrated Information Theory (IIT), proposing that consciousness results from the integration of information within a system. Using Sam Altman’s ”perfect garden” metaphor, I illustrate how integrated information fosters coherence and ”life,” while disintegration leads to reduced life. In doing so, I provide a symbol grounded scale free framework that explain things like digital environments, social interactions, and practices such as hosting and meditation, showing how love, community, and human experiences reflect varying degrees of information integration.
